Title: Database Administrator

Reporting to: DBA Team Leader

General Objective:

• To participate in the development, administration and maintenance of database systems as part of the Identification Systems Division products and applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design and create relational databases
• Install databases in development, test, training and production environment
• Recommend software and hardware as they relate to database functionality and performance
• Analyze and tune database performance
• Provide ongoing database support to remote sites
• Write database stored procedures
• Establish database standards
• Perform benchmark tests
• Write backup and recovery disaster plans
• Train system administrators when needed

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in developing and administering database systems
• 2+ years of experience managing and administering Oracle databases
• 2+ years of experience in data modeling and database design
• Experience or knowledge of Windows and Linux
• Must be willing to travel internationally
• Experience in establishing and maintaining sound backup and recovery procedures
• Self motivated and action oriented team player
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong communication skills in English (other languages are additional assets)
• Eligible to obtain Secret Security Clearance
