General Objective:
  • To provide and apply technical know-how and problem solving skills in the Secure Card Manufacturing and Personalization Facility to maintain service levels.
Responsibilities: Duties, and Tasks:
  • Troubleshoot day to day equipment and quality problems.
  • Perform regular maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Continuous improvement project activities and technical support as directed.
  • Assist in commissioning new facilities and/or equipment as required.
  • Maintenance of Oracle databases.
  • Draft maintenance and repair procedures, including preventative maintenance and calibration plans.
  • Recommend process and product improvements to manufacturing.
  • Maintain servers by swapping back up tapes.
  • Ship, receive and swap warranted parts.
  • Calibrate black and clear lasers.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Instrumentation Process Control, Electrical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably clean room).
  • Must possess Canadian Government Secret Level Security Clearance.
  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience working with Laser systems and/or electro-mechanical environment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control systems.
  • Knowledge and/or experience using an Oracle database (Version 8 or higher).
  • Knowledge or experience with networks (Windows 2000, XP and Linux).
  • Proficient user of business related computer applications (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes).
  • Experience with 5S's, Kanban, lean production techniques, ISO standards, Occupational Health and Safety are an asset.
  • Detail oriented, with strong organizational, time-management and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Self motivated, enthusiastic team player with proven written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Able to work all shifts (Days, Afternoons, Nights) imperative.
  • Able to work a reasonable amount of overtime hours during the week and weekend.
