General Objective:
- Responsible for coordinating and preparing system cost estimates for a variety of technical solutions for the respective ID & Payment Systems business opportunities. This includes requirements analysis, liaising with various internal stakeholders and technical experts, coordinating reviews, job cost analysis, cash flow analyses and presentation of cost estimates for pricing.
- Review and analyze customer requirements that result from RFI.s, RFP.s, Change Orders or general customer needs identified by the Business Development Group,
- Liaise with the various stakeholders including Business Development, Marketing, Software Development, Project Management, Service and Support, Manufacturing, and Corporate IT in order to ascertain the scope of the solution.
- Review the required COTS hardware & software, network components, configuration requirements, customized software needs, secure document needs, project deployment, training, documentation, as well as maintenance and support models.
- Research and obtain costs for the various COTS hardware and software components.
- Research and analyze similar projects previously estimated and deployed in order to draw upon past experiences.
- In conjunction with the required internal groups, prepare cost estimates for the various components of the solution.
- Present the technical solution as part of the Estimation and Pricing process.
- Maintain a current database of the cost components and estimating standards.
- University Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics / Electrical Engineering or related field with 3 . 5 years of industry experience.
- Working knowledge of computer hardware, including net work configurations and devices.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix).
- An understanding of relational databases (Oracle).
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- A detailed orientated team player with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- A self starter who is able to strategize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A highly organized, motivated, and detailed individual.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Bilingualism is an asset.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret Level security clearance.
